COLD PRESSED LINSEED = FLAX OIL
Essential fatty acids (EFAs)


We recommend to most of our clients with back- and joint- problems to add LINSEED OIL to their daily diet. For them a change of lifestyle and diet is as important as performing exercises and taking care of their Ergonomic work environment.
Many of them at first argue most embarrassed that they just have cut down on fats. Now we would encourage them to add some again. But LINSEED OIL is not ordinary "fat ". It is far superior to any fat.

Based on 3000 scientific well documented publications including some comprehensive books and excellent feedback reports of our clients, we called LINSEED OIL one of our best "remedies" in treating inflammatory, degenerative and painful musculoskeletal disorders.

According to literature an imbalance of our highly processed food (especially the so- called Fast Food) is responsible for many sicknesses of western civilized and urbanised populations. OMEGA 3 - Essential Fatty Acids (EFA's) are too low in our diet.

LINSEED OIL is rich in those OMEGA 3 EFA' s. They are called "essential " because our body is not able to manufacture them - similar to other Vitamins. There are two major types of EFA's: alpha- linolenic (OMEGA 3-) and linoleic (OMEGA-6). Th

Why are they essential for our health? Because they are the building- blocks of the membrane of each cell, which selectively keeps beneficial substances inside and harmful ones out. Even more important: EFA' s maintain the cell's energy production.

The major functions of EFA's are:
1 .Production of prostaglandines - hormones which control inflammation, pain, immune system balance     and energy metabolism and cardiovascular functions.
2. Cholesterol - balance.

Though some publications vary regarding the ideal ratio of OMEGA-3 to OMEGA-6 EFA's, a guideline could be a ratio of 8 : 1.

Based on research OMEGA- 3 , which prevails in LINSEED OIL, can be beneficial for the following:
- Arthritis
- Back and neck problems, and other musculoskeletal disorders
- Immune deficiencies and allergies
- Skin problems - especially acne, psoriasis and eczema
- Cardiovascular problems - especially arteriosclerosis
- Stroke and hypertension
- Mental and nervous system disorders
- Chronic fatigue
- Hormonal imbalances and pre-menstrual syndromes
- Weight and metabolism related problems such as diabetes mellitus and gout.


HOW TO USE FLAX OIL
When beginning with flax oil, start very slowly (with a scant teaspoon daily). As you progress, you can take a full tablespoon daily.

Fresh flax oil has a nice nutty taste. If it tastes bad or rancid then this proof enough that it is not fresh. You can use it with cereals or as a salad oil - but not as a cooking oil. Because you do not want to destroy the EFAs.

HOW LONG BEFORE YOU FEEL BETTER?
The following are some typical periods time in which health benefits may be expected from EFA nutrition found in flax oil :
1. In several hours: Mood can be improved and a feeling of calm can be experienced, along with initial     relief from depression.
2. In 2 to 7 days: A change in the skin can be noticed. It will be smoother, with less scaling. This can     be seen on the back of the hands and fingers. There will be less flaking, and dandruff will begin to     subside.
3. In 2 to 14 days: Emotional and mental relief will begin to be experienced. Hallucinations will lessen,     and there will be some alleviation from anxiety. In this period there is usually some relief for those     suffering from mental disturbances.
4. In 2 to 6 weeks: Pain lessens. Arthritis begins to subside. Bruising will be going away, and leg     cramps will no longer exist. Bursitis gets better, and even rheumatoid sufferers begin to experience     relief. Dry skin is usually gone by now, as is dandruff. All types of inflammation are now generally     reduced.
5. In 2 to 4 months: Rheumatoid pain is now subsiding. Noises in the ears and head start to clear.     Stress is relieved, with less choking, fewer muscular spasms (including eye spasms). Skin colour is     much better, and there is less sensitivity to sunlight. Menstrual function is now better, and prostate     swellings begin to reduce. The urologist or gynecologist will now be able to recognize changes for     the better in the patients condition.
6. In 3 to 6 months: Food allergies begin to clear up now. Urination and menstrual problems are now on     the wane. Energy is high and endurance and immunity to disease are probably better than they've     ever been. There is a feeling of calmness and strength. Moreover, at this time you are JUST     BEGINNING to enjoy benefits of this type of nutrition.
